Furnishing a Small Space
Many rowhomes and apartments in Baltimore are tough to navigate. They are small, cramped and can create a challenge picking out furniture that looks good, let alone fits around tight corners.
Just becuase you're living in a small space, doesn't mean that you have to give up your sense of style, however. Here are some tips and tricks to make the most out of your home:
Get rid of clutter - This should always be the first step of the process. Donate everything that you don't want/need. This way you'll see what space you actually have to work with. Plus, it's always nice to do some spring cleaning.
Think Small - Use smaller sized piceces of furniture. Instead of trying to fit a big sectional into your 12x12 living room, think about using an apartment sofa instead. Shofer's has many stylish apartment sofas that will fit a wide-variety of needs.
Multifunction - Where going smaller isn't an option, try going multifunctional. A sofa-bed works as both a bed and a sofa, freeing up room for other things in a bedroom or living room. Or look into a combo chest-desk unit, or an entertainment center that can be used for more than just holding your TV.
